In the continuous quest for better patient-care, the field of regional anaesthesia has become one of the fastest growing areas of anaesthesia. The expanding utility of Plexus anaesthesia is likely to result in a wider use and demand for this practice in modern Irish healthcare.

Plexus Anaesthesia has been growing in popularity among patients, clinicians and providers of healthcare funding as it can improve patient suitability for earlier discharge and has made the drive towards cost-effective outpatient surgery and ambulatory acute pain management a reality.

The Art of Plexus Anaesthesia Symposium takes place annually, in the first weekend of September, supported by B.Braun Medical under the auspices of the College of Anaesthetists.

The aim of this event is to promote the growing utility and practice of Plexus Anaesthesia in Ireland. The success of this one-day cadaveric course, now in its sixth year, reflects the innovative and collaborative educational approach.

An expert local faculty will be joined this year by key note speaker
Dr. Nick Scott, Consultant Anaesthetist
Golden Jubilee National Hospital
Clydebank, Glasgow Scotland
